When on the run, prepare snacks ahead of time. Cut up some celery, carrots, bell peppers, etc. If you do not have time for that, you can always purchase something prepared, like protein bars.
This is the time of year we health addicts dread. If you have kids its even worse. Our Self Control is tested to the limits. I have found the best thing to do is to go, have fun, and Trick or Treat. Then treat yourself at the end with (5) pieces. Kids can have (10). They’re kids, they should have more. Then gather the rest and give away. There are places that accept the candy (mainly dentists) and will give coupons or other stuff in return. Check your local area. Have fun, but don’t eat too much. It takes a lot of exercise to get rid of the fat. PS: the best candy to eat is Candy Corn.. 20 pieces = 33 grams of sugar, but No FAT!!
To make eating vegetables and fruits fun for your family, each day everyone in the family should try to “Eat the Rainbow”. Eat a fruit or vegetable that matches the colors of the rainbow: red (watermelon or pepper), orange (oranges or carrots), yellow (pineapple or corn) , green (apples or broccoli) and purple (grapes or eggplant). Everyone should eat something from each color group. Its a way to have the whole family eat healthy and have fun doing it.
Breakfast means “Break the Fast”. You need to eat a healthy breakfast each morning to get the body going for the day.
